There are various funding options including scholarships and private foundations.
The scholarship is usually 10,000 kroner/month and is applied for from the Danish Council for Independent Research | Medical Sciences in conjunction with the supervisor.
In some cases, applications can also be submitted to private foundations and companies (such as Novo Nordisk). It is the responsibility of the principal supervisor to obtain funding.
Allocation of funds from councils and foundations can affect your right to receive a state education grant (SU); when accepting a research year stipend it is recommended that you apply for leave from your studies and if relevant cancel your SU for the period in question
